White & Case Elects Eighteen Partners

On Friday, global law firm White & Case LLP announced the promotion of 18 lawyers to partnership for 2014 worldwide. The promotions are across eight of the law firm’s practice areas and are effective from January 1, 2014.

Hugh Verrier, White & Case Chairman said on the occasion, “On behalf of the entire Firm, I am pleased to welcome our new class of partners … each new partner exemplifies the very best of White & Case, and we applaud their dedication, commitment and hard work on behalf of our clients.”

The seven new partners for Americas include John W. Anderson Jr, based in Sao Paulo who becomes partner in the Global Project Finance Practice, Claudine Columbres, based in New York, who becomes partner in Global Commercial Litigation Practice, Angela D. Daker, based in Miami, who becomes partner in Global Commercial Litigation Practice, Rebecca H. Farrington, based in Washington DC, who becomes partner in Global Antitrust Practice, Eric L. Klar, based in Miami, who becomes partner in Global Banking Practice, Victor G. Mendoza III, based in Miami who becomes partner in Global Capital Markets Practice and Ismael Reyes Retana, based in Mexico City, who becomes partner in Global Commercial Litigation Practice.

Besides Retana, all other partners for the Americas are in the USA. Mendoza is qualified to practice in Florida, Klar is qualified to practice both in New York and Florida, Farrington is qualified to practice in the District of Columbia, Daker is qualified to practice in Florida and Illinois, and Columbres and Anderson are qualified to practice in New York.

Besides the partners elected for the Americas, the law firm elected two new partners for Asia, Thomas J. Benedict based in Singapore and David Li based in Beijing.

Nine other partners were elected for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
