Thursday Thoughts

Hey all! Happy Thursday! You know the drill – another week of Thursday Thoughts!

1. This weekend is the CHICAGO MARATHON!!! Although I’m not running it this year, I’m still so excited for the race and for everyone who is running. I’ll be volunteering at Aid Station #13 at mile 18 for anyone who is running – let me know to cheer you on!

2. I’ve been wanting to go to World Market for ages to find some new bowls. I was down that way on Monday for a doctor’s appointment so I walked over to check it out and was SUPER tempted to purchase this bowl:

Amazingness.

3. Sadly I went the common sense route and purchased a big mug (good as a small bowl) and this bowl:

4. Job hunting sucks this week. I’m just gonna say it. Not finding a lot of jobs to apply to, no interviews yet, no nothing. I feel very stuck and I’m not enjoying it.

5. On a happier note, I attended a pre-membership meeting at the Junior League of Chicago on Monday evening. I’m really excited about joining the organization and all the volunteer and social aspects of being a member. Sadly, you have to go through a 6 month membership program and the next one doesn’t begin until January!

6. I’m publishing this post from a coffee shop because my internet randomly stopped working yesterday. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with customer service only to find out that they will send someone out today sometime between 8am and 12:30pm. Annoying, yes, but what if I had a job?? What does everyone else do? How is this efficient? Can you tell I’m frustrated?

7. Yesterday I wrote out my Purely Fit workout on a notecard to take to the gym. After finishing, I wrote down my time and left the card in the gym as a challenge to anyone who found it. I hope someone tried it!

8. I’m not having the best week and I can’t seem to shake this bad mood. Any suggestions? I need an attitude adjustment.

What an UPBEAT post! Haha. Here’s hoping to a better outlook today!

Have you ever watched someone else at the gym and stolen their workout moves?

Are you a part of any volunteer organizations?

Do you all your dishes match or do you have some random bowls or plates?
