Link Love

Hey everyone! IT’S FRIDAY!!!!

Did you know? Well now you do. I’m really excited for this weekend because we have our Chicago Blogger BOOKCLUB! (aka winos/foodies anonymous). It’s been eight weeks since our last one, so I’m ready to see everyone!

For those of you sitting in an office, unable to focus and dying for the clock to hit 5, I thought a good Link Love post would be perfect to keep your mind occupied! Or you could work… but whatever.

From Bloggers:

Awesome post: 10 Ways to Build your Brand

I could definitely use this: October Fruits/Veggies Challenge

So thankful my parents made us have family dinner almost every night (even if I hated it sometimes…): Three Reasons Why I Advocate the Family Meal

So many delicious looking Fall recipes: 10 Fun Fall Recipes

Caitlin and I are very similar in our gluten sensitivity AND our love of Udi’s bread: Gluten-Free and Me

I’m going to have to recreate this (with something to replace the tempeh): Creamy Dijon Tempeh and Spinach Casserole.

This made me miss my HLS roomies! The newest Drink and Dish video!

A fun exercise to think about, and a great idea for teachers: Advice to the World

Great idea to workout when you watch TV, although I need to buy some heavier weights! Living Room Workouts

From the Web:

I had no idea (and can’t believe) this happened: An Open Letter to the Parents of the Stephentown 300

Something to think about: How the internet and social media are making us lonely

Such a scary and heart-wrenching story, but a necessary read for runners: I Will Never Run Alone Again

I’ve only read #1 and #2, good thing I rarely go to the movies ($$ in Chicago): 7 Books to Read Before You See the Movies this Fall

I would be SO GOOD at this (and no, I’m actually not being sarcastic): Jimmy Fallon’s Latest Lip-Sync Off Was Actually Epic

And to add onto that, this one is older but I love it. Hilarious. Watch it.

Have a great weekend!

What’s the best thing you read this week?

What are you up to this weekend?

Have you ever been in a book club?

Kathryn Wheeler: My name is Katie and I moved to Chicago in 2010 for law school and graduated in May 2013. I'm originally from Kansas City, MO and I did my undergrad at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. I started this blog in August of 2011 because I needed a creative outlet and I wanted to write about my life in a way that other women could relate to and realize that they aren’t alone in many aspects of their lives.
