Rapist Told His Victim Had AIDS: He Faints

A rapist collapsed in jail when police informed him the woman he had raped has HIV. He immediately asked to be taken to a hospital, but will not get the results if he contracted HIV until later this week. The man, Richard Thomas, 27, doesn’t even remember the event, claiming he was intoxicated at the time.

“He was arrested and interviewed and said he had been drinking heavily, taken cocaine and ecstasy and could not recall the incident,” said prosecuter Harry Pepper.

The incident involved him entering the house of the victim Miss Hayton, whom he already knew, uninvited, at night, and taking advantage that she had used a sleeping aid. She awoke to find she was being raped from behind.

“She froze and no words were exchanged. He pulled up his shorts and left,” said prosecutor Harry Pepper, as reported by the Huffington Post.

Thomas pleaded guilty to the act, saying that though he doesn’t remember the incident, “she would not lie, she tells the truth. If she says I have done it, I have done it.”

For this he was convicted to five years and four months, but may have incurred an incurable disease at the same time. Not only must he sign the Sex Offenders Register for life, but his life might be shorter than expected.
