22 Year Old Samantha Goudie Arrested at .341 BAC Tweets #YOLO

At a University of Iowa football game this weekend 22 year old Samantha Goudie was arrested and blew a .341 BAC. Instead of being thankful that she is alive, the young woman tweeted “#YOLO” and made a commemorative t-shirt about the incident. Twitter alias “@Vodka_Samm,” Samantha Lynn Goudie tried to “jump onto the field during the Northern Illinois-Iowa game” in Iowa City. University of Iowa police collared her and gave her a Breathalyzer, according to the Huffington Post. She blew .341.

The Internet welcomed her; she now has 20,000 followers on her twitter page. The threshold for legal intoxication is .08 percent BAC. The lethal limits are between .4 and .5 BAC, according to Clemson University’s Redfern Health Center. To be clear about, the site has notes on what is probably relative to the percentages as an experience. “At .30 BAC, you’re probably in a stupor [with] little comprehension of where you are or what’s really going on around you. You may suddenly pass out and be difficult to awaken. At .35 percent, you may stop breathing.”

Goudie was arrested and charged with public intoxication. She bragged about her situation, tweeting “just went to jail, #Yolo,” and “ I’m going to get .341 tattooed on me because its so epic.” Her images and tweets have gone viral. She has become Internet famous and people are recognizing her as the girl who blew a .341.

She says on her twitter feed, “girl waiting for court with me goes ‘I wish I knew the girl who blew a .341,’ [so] I said ‘Hi.’  Goudie seems happy to relish in the attention of being arrested and being Internet famous. And that’s where the youth of this country is heading. #YOLO.
