Faith Hill and Tim McGraw Deny Rumors of Divorce

You can’t trust everything you read in the tabloids. For instance, what the National Inquirer said about country superstar couple Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, that they are heading to an inevitable $145 million divorce – none of that’s true. “Totally false and ridiculous,” in fact, as a rep for the couple said.

Perhaps building on the implicit resentment the world has for the couple that is “too good to be true,” and also drawing from the real work Tim McGraw is doing with Taylor Swift, whose act opened his on a recent tour, and with whom he has spent a lot of time working, the article claimed that Hill is jealous of the “sexual chemistry” McGraw has had with her for almost 17 years.

As all successful gossip has some basis in truth, that McGraw at least holds Taylor in high esteem, that truth seems to be in fact innocent, and their relationship of a friendly nature. McGraw, at least, felt confident in a recent interview with the Huffington Post to give marital advice:

“The easy answer is just to shut up and not say anything, that’s easy. But really it’s a lot of give and take and it’s a lot of no ultimatums,” he said.

Recommending silence as a virtue, at least in the context of a marriage, suggests at least a certain assured sincerity that his marriage is a solid one, and though rumors and gossip sometimes prove to be true, in this case, what you read in the tabloids might not be trustworthy.
