George Zimmerman Found Speeding with Gun in Vehicle

Almost a month after the trials related to the death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman was pulled over for speeding. He told police who caught him speeding in Forney, Texas. He told authorities that he had a gun in the glove compartment of his car.

When the local police asked him his destination, Zimmerman responded “nowhere in particular,” according to the Huffington Post. Relative to the amount of death threats and negative media that George Zimmerman has received, if he fears for his safety, it is probably smart that he not disclose his locations. Zimmerman reportedly asked the police officer that stopped him at 12:54 pm for speeding if he recognized him from television.

A few days after this event, Zimmerman had seen an overturned SUV on the highway in Florida. He came to the aid of a family that was trapped in the overturned vehicle, helping to save them by pulling two children and their parents out of danger.  The family that was assisted by Zimmerman wanted to tell the press and media about his kind assistance. As he had helped to save them, they wanted to say a few good things in Zimmerman’s name. Yet according to NBC News, family and friends told them that they “really should not get involved with anything that has to do with George Zimmerman.”

Although the family’s first instinct was to publically hold a conference in two press interviews they since have changed their phone number and their stance and now only want privacy. Zimmerman himself is hush on the subject, and stays at an undisclosed location.
