George Zimmerman “Got Away with Murder” According to Juror B29

Juror B29 found Zimmerman not guilty in the courtroom, but personally gives her independent comments. According to the Huffington Post, the Juror revealed strong feelings in an exclusive interview with Robin Roberts on Friday’s Good Morning America. She said that Although George Zimmerman got away with murder, “you can’t get away from God. At the end of the day, he’s going to have a lot of questions and answers he has to deal with [but] the law couldn’t prove it.”

The Puerto Rican juror who chose to only be known by her first name, Maddy, is a 36 year old nursing assistant and originally wanted to convict Zimmerman of second degree murder. She came to realize that the evidence didn’t support a guilty verdict with respect to Zimmerman’s self-defense claim. She said that she was against the others and wanted to see Zimmerman get punished for the death of Trayvon Martin. However, when she understood the law, and heard that the intent of the killing makes all the difference in the analysis of the stand your ground law with regards to George Zimmerman’s situation, she commented, “You can’t say he’s guilty.”

Juror B29 is a mother of eight children, and she feels guilt every single day. She says she can neither eat nor sleep and feels the burden of Martin’s death. She commented that she wanted to apologize to Trayvon Martin’s family.
