Jimmy Fallon and Wife Nancy Juvonen Welcome Winnie Rose Fallon to the World

With the entire gestation process of the royal couple followed by the world, and Kim Kardashian’s pregnancy gratuitously publicized to boost ratings on their show, how refreshing is it when a celebrity doesn’t ram it down our throats that his wife is pregnant? Though Jim Fallon had been making jokes about the royal couple and their miracle of birth – amazingly non-newsworthy in itself, considering that we were all born by a similar process – he himself did not mention that he was a father to be. A few days later, in the early hours of a Tuesday morning, he became the father of a little girl, and was reportedly “overjoyed about the arrival of their beautiful daughter.”

“Welcome to ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,’ I’m your host, Dada,” the proud host opened.

“She’s 5 pounds, 9 ounces — I got it down to the ounce,” he said. “That’s how I weigh myself as well. I’ve got to lose a couple of ounces!”

“It’s been a crazy couple of days … actually it’s just one day. It feels like it’s been a four-day conference or something. It’s very taxing on the fathers. I don’t know how it is for the mothers, but very taxing.”

Nevertheless, the comedian and late night show host was proud and happy to be a father, as his wife joins the likes of Penelope Cruz and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, and in fact much of the world of ordinary people, in giving birth to a child recently.
