Barnes & Thornburg Pick Up Finance, Insolvency and Restructuring Pro

Massive law firm Barnes & Thornburg continues to expand their Columbus office, bringing on board Robert Folland to their Finance, Insolvency and Restructuring (FIR) department to tackle restructuring, creditor’s rights, debt’s and creditor’s committees, and so forth, which he will work on, bringing experience from his former employer Thomson Hine, and from his ventures ranging back to 1995, when he graduated top of his class at Ohio Northern University College of Law.

“Rob brings great energy to the Columbus office and strengthens our capabilities in bankruptcy, financial services, and business litigation among other things. He will be a great fit both with our Ohio team and our firm wide FIR department,” said William A. Nolan, managing partner of the Columbus office.

Folland’s experience include assisting clients with state court receivership, business restructurings, and the general litigation characteristic of his focus, as well as serving as member of the American Bar Association under the section on Business Law and Committee of Consumer Financial Services; serving on the Ohio State Bar Association; and serving as a member of the Northern Ohio Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association.

“I am delighted to join B&T’s Ohio team,” said Folland. “Its unique geographical platform will provide great opportunities for my clients, and the FIR department’s existing practice and mine will complement each other well.”
