Kerry Washington, the rising starlet who has gathered fans and the accolades of critics with her roles in Scandal and Django Unchained knows a thing or two about keeping her private life private. Only now is it public knowledge that she has been seeing San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha; only know have we learned that they married last month!
That’s rather clever, but as she said after she and David Moscow broke off their engagement in 2007, “Coming out of an engagement, I don’t even try to guess what my life is going to look like in the future anymore. The important thing is to not be afraid of making decisions that are right for me. It’s my life. Not anybody else’s.” Not anybody’ else’s business, either, apparently, as the newlyweds didn’t so much as announce that they in fact were married.
Washington has been rising lately; she was on the cover of Vanity Fair’s August 2013 issue. She has kept personal business off the counter of discussion.
“Records show that Washington and Asomugha filed a marriage license on June 24 in Blaine County, Idaho, though a source tells Us that the two appear to have gotten married in the town of Hailey, Idaho, with her parents as witnesses,” said Us Weekly.
Privacy is a hot commodity in a place like America, especially among stars. Way to go in that regard!
