Kelly Osbourne Catches Us Up on the Osbournes on Good Morning America

Kelly Osbourne is co-host of E!’s Fashion Police, but she had to work her way up to the happiness she has now found. Daughter of Prince of Darkness heavy metal rockstar Ozzy Osbourne, she found some popularity in her role in Meet the Osbournes, a reality television show about the family. But getting to a place where she is happy with herself took some work.

“I was sick and tired of being sick and tired,” she explained on Good Morning America, accounting for why she sobered up from substance abuse. “And I was sick and tired for not liking myself for no reason.”

Finding peace with herself was the trick to losing 70 pounds, which she says sort of went along with her attitude adjustment. “Becoming healthy doesn’t start with a diet, it starts with you mentally,” she said, as E! reported. “I realized I didn’t wanna be the person I was anymore, and the weight loss just kinda came as a plus afterwards,” a pattern that suggests perhaps that her weight was psychosomatic.

Meanwhile, she spoke of her father’s relapse into drug and alcohol use, and said that he is “doing amazing,” and is “94 days sober,” and that it was “B.S. about my mum moving out,” but “she just moved into the new house they got together. He went on tour. My mum wasn’t happy speaking about a 34-year-old argument.”

The young star is even in love, but not yet engaged, with a Vegan chef, Matthew Mosshart, but was evasive when questioned if he “is the one.” She smiled and said, “We’ll see.”
