“Teen Mom 2” Star Arrested for Assaulting Husband, Possessing Large Quantities of Heroin

MTV picks some winners for their shows – truly colorful folks, such as the star of Teen Mom 2, Janelle Evans, who just featured in an intense episode this week in which she wrangles legal problems and parties with ex-boyfriend Kieffer Delp. It seems her off-air life is just as interesting, if not more so. She was just arrested for assaulting her husband of five months, 27-year-old Courtland Rogers – apparently she lopped him with a piece of furniture in a domestic dispute – and meanwhile the cops discovered a large amount of heroin in their possession, 12 bindles, and some illegally possessed painkiller, Percocet, and an illegal glass smoking pipe. Maybe that explains why the star looked so sad in this mug shot of her.

Her attorney told E! News that she was “very upset. She was crying in court … she was in bad shape.” So this report seems to contradict what she told a fan who asked on Twitter how she was doing.

“I’m going great,” Evans said Tuesday morning. “Eating healthy. My weight is back to normal. I take Multivitamins daily and melatonin at night and I’m SOBER!” Perhaps so, perhaps not.

The 21-year-old star was also served with a warrant for failing to pay child support for her 3-year-old son Jace, and meanwhile the husband was arrested for assaulting Janelle by “hitting her on the neck and striking her with a closed fist on her head,” as TMZ reported. An ugly situation all around, no doubt, but perhaps good for ratings?
