I’m Going to Boot Camp!

Hey everyone, I hope you’re all having a good weekend so far! I know my weekly workouts went on hiatus while I was gone over spring break (too many hikes to recap!), but I’m back at it this week and just in time because tomorrow is day one of Tina’s Best Body Boot Camp!

I’ve done her boot camp two times before (reviewed here and here) and I’m so excited to participate again. This is the first time I’ll be doing it and not also training for a race, so I’m ready to put all my energy into her plan!

What I loved about this round that wasn’t present in the others that I’ve done, is Tina included a fitness test. I’ve never really done anything like this to track my fitness, so I’m excited! I’ll be doing the fitness test today (planned on doing it yesterday but I was wiped from my run) and I’ll let you know how that goes!

Speaking of my run, yesterday I headed out to meet Kelsey and Emily for a run and then brunch! I ran 2 miles to meet up with them, and then we ran another 3 to the restaurant. Let me tell you, it was HARD! We were running into the wind the whole time and the cold air was really killing my lungs. I was DYING. Dying. But I made it thanks to my beautiful friends!

We had brunch afterwards at Eggy’s! None of us had been but they had the most amazing 80s music playing so I was pretty good with that!

I ordered their omelet special for the day which was an egg white omelet with feta cheese, salmon, and dill. It was really good, their potatoes were crispy and the fruit was amazing!

They also had this hot sauce that we all loved:

Great morning!

Now, let me give you all a look at my workouts coming up this week:

Sunday – Workout A (strength) plus 20 minutes of steady state cardio

Monday – Cardio intervals (on the BBC plan)

Tuesday – Workout B (strength) plus 20 minutes of steady state cardio

Wednesday – Cardio intervals (on the BBC plan)

Thursday – Rest Day (maybe a yoga class or zumba…)

Friday – 5-6 mile run

Saturday – Workout C (circuit style workout)

As I’ve mentioned before, these days may get switched around depending on my schedule, or my mood! I also am not sure if I want to skip out on Zumba, I love it! So I might switch Wednesday and Thursday and count Zumba as my cardio instead of doing the prescribed intervals. We shall see!

I’m also starting another program on Monday (April 1st is a big day!) but I will share more on that with you tomorrow!

Do you like to run with other people or alone?

Are you doing Tina’s Boot Camp? Do you follow any kind of work out program?
