Two Arrested on Prostitution Charges During Sale of Vehicle

In Blountville, Tennessee, the negotiations for the price of a vehicle turned sexual on Wednesday morning, according to the Kingsport Times-News. Two people were arrested at a Blountville gas station after reports of indecent exposure were made. The two were arrested on prostitution charges.

The woman, Crystal Frantzen, admitted to police that she performed oral sex on a man who was selling a used car. She performed the act so she could ‘get a better deal’ on the purchase. Valium was found on the male, according to police.

Multiple phone calls came into the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office prior to noon on Wednesday about indecent exposure at the BP station on Highway 394. A deputy who responded observed the vehicle of the suspect as a gray Cadillac. It was sitting at the intersection of Highway 394 and Franklin Drive.

The male in the vehicle was identified as Gary Lynn Tipton. Frantzen was in the vehicle too. She was arrested and charged with prostitution. Tipton also admitted to the crime, which caused him to be arrested for solicitation of prostitution. The officers found six Valium in Tipton’s pocket, leading them to charge him with possession of schedule II drugs.

The two were taken to the Sullivan County jail. Tipton’s bond was set at $2,000 and Frantzen had not been arraigned as of Thursday morning.
