Thursday Thoughts

Hola Chicas! (and chicos?) I hope you’re all having a good week! I am PUMPED because I have 1 class between me and SPRING BREAK! How am I kicking off my spring break? A KICKBOXING CLASS with the fabulous Kelsey! Please, try not to be too jealous. I’m so excited.

Since I’m busy containing my excitement (and packing…), we’ll get on to this week’s Thursday Thoughts!

1. Guys. I have a problem. An addiction. I cannot stop listening to this song:

It just makes me want to move. See what time I was listening to it? 6:04am. Yep. All day long.

2. Pretty sure the Trader Joe’s employees thought I was crazy for stopping, backing up, and then taking a picture of this sign, but I had to share. Trader Joe’s has taken things to a whole new level:

3. Molly is hilarious. My brother sent me this picture of her, she has ripped holes in her bed and apparently needed to create an obstacle course and stick her face through the holes to get to her toy. Gotta make condo living more interesting I guess…

4. And don’t let Molly’s cute faces fool you…

She is actually a vicious, vicious killer:

WATCH OUT.

5. I have been OBSESSED with this meal! It’s chicken sausage, steamed kale and avocado, topped with the tahini miso sauce from Daily Garnish and a squirt of ketchup, all mixed up together. Cannot. Get. Enough.

6. I got Neville this cool plastic plant for his bowl. He doesn’t seem to care…

7. I registered for TWO exciting things this week! The next Muddy Monk Trail Race (a 10K or 20K depending on how many times you want to run the loop that morning):

AND, Tina’s next round of Best Body Boot Camp!

So excited about boot camp. I feel like I’m FINALLY in the right place to fully commit to boot camp since I can run enough to do the HIIT cardio workouts (I much prefer running them to doing the elliptical) and I’m not training for a race!

8. And to end today’s Thursday Thoughts with some extra Molly fun, here’s a video of her leaping through the snow last week:

Anyone else doing boot camp with me? Or Chicago-landers doing the trail race? You should….

What’s your favorite song right now?

I'm originally from Kansas City, MO and I did my undergrad at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. I started this blog in August of 2011 because I needed a creative outlet and I wanted to write about my life in a way that other women could relate to and realize that they aren’t alone in many aspects of their lives.
