Potato Party Leads to Kids Getting Kicked Out of McDonald’s

A recent sale in McDonald’s across Japan on French fries led to local kids throwing ‘potato parties.’ The cost of the large order was so cheap that this is what sparked the parties. The parties occur when a group of kids purchase ridiculous amounts of fries and then spread them across multiple food trays as a feast.

These parties caused delays in completing orders for other paying customers and created a major mess that that the workers had to clean. In Japanese culture, when uneaten food is left behind, it is viewed as disrespectful as well as wasteful.

Now, it seems as though the potato parties have made their way to South Korea. The photo in this article is of the pranksters eating he fries at a table covered in them. The photo has gone viral and has made its way all across the globe. What is so different about this party is how much money was spent. In Japan, the kids were paying next to nothing for the fries. These kids in South Korea spent some 270,000 won, which is $250, on the fries.

Despite spending some $250, the employees were not pleased. They ordered the ‘brats’ to ‘stop causing trouble’ and ‘get out of here.’
