Yogurt & Nut Butter Reviews

Happy Tuesday!

Haha, we’re back to the awkward post introductions. Why does this bother me so much?? Oh well, I guess it’s just one of my imperfections.

Today I have a couple product reviews that I wanted to share with you. First off, Quaker® is bringing Muller, a European yogurt brand, to the US and stores here in Chicago.

From Quaker:

Müller yogurt has generations of loyal fans spanning many countries who love it for its delicious, creamy taste and unique flavor varieties.   The first three products to be introduced in the U.S. are Müller® Corner Greek®, Müller® Corner®, and Müller® FrütUp™.

  • Müller Corner and Müller Greek Corner offer a smooth, creamy lowfat yogurt with a side compartment of delightful toppings you add yourself.  Greek Corner varieties include Caramelized Almonds, Honeyed Apricot, Strawberry, Blackberry & Raspberry.  Corner varieties include Blueberry, Strawberry, Crispy Crunch, Choco Balls, Choco Flakes and Crunchy Granola.
  • Müller FrütUp offers a cool, creamy, lowfat yogurt that is topped with a vibrant layer of fruit mousse.  Varieties include Blueberry Bliss, Very Cherry, Luscious Lemon, Peach Passion Fruit, Radiant Raspberry and Splendid Strawberry.

I was sent the Muller Corner in the Blueberry, Choco Balls, Caramelized Almonds, and Blackberry & Raspberry flavors, as well as the Muller FrutUp in Luscious Lemon and Splendid Strawberry.

The very first thing I noticed (as do most people with food intolerances) was that the container did say that the product contains Wheat. After going over and over the ingredients, I’m assuming this must come from the Whey Protein Concentrate. Either way, it didn’t seem enough to deter me from sampling…

I dug right into the blueberry flavor first. I like that you add the flavoring yourself, so you can mix it right up or add it in little by little.

Obviously I hated it…

Haha it was pretty good! I am dying to try the caramelized almonds flavor next, I’m a huge almond fan! I also tested the Luscious Lemon FruitUp, but didn’t manage to take a picture. It was definitely delicious and great as an evening post-dinner dessert. It wasn’t filling enough to be a real snack, but it tasted very decadent for being only 150 calories.

Since I knew the Choco Balls definitely had wheat in them I left those and the Strawberry FrutUp with my brother and sister-in-law as a thank you for basically being my PO Box.

If you’re interested in checking out Muller Yogurt products, you can check out their website or their Facebook page.

Now I’m curious to try out more flavors! And for those of you wondering, the products didn’t seem to bother my stomach, but I’d be cautious to anyone with a wheat intolerance, and definitely don’t purchase if you have Celiac! I’d also like to mention that the ingredient list a little long for something I’d eat daily, but wouldn’t deter me from making those frutUps an occasional treat!

Quaker sent me these products to review, but I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions are completely my own.

And now to the next product: Reginald’s Homemade Nut Butters!

I actually received these after winning a giveaway from Elise, but since I mentioned them on my blog I thought I should share my opinion with all of you!

I won The Cashew Lovers Collection, which included two jars each of two flavors: Cinnamon Molasses and Cashew Nilla. I thought they were so cute, I also ended up leaving one jar of each with my sister-in-law! Haha got to share the nut butter love!

I’ve never actually bought cashew butter before, I’d only made my peanut cashew butter, so I was interested to see how it would taste!

The flavors are subtle (which I expected from a cashew butter), but I loved them. The Cashew Nilla basically tastes like cake batter, while the Cinnamon Molasses really does have a nice cinnamon taste to it and the molasses makes it almost ginger cookie-esque if I had to compare it to something.

I also think the little jars are completely adorable and I’ll definitely be re-using them to bottle up my own homemade nut butters for friends.

Have you tried Muller Yogurt? What flavor would you want to try?

Are you a cashew butter fan? What flavor would you want to see?
