Dinsmore Promotes Cincinnati Partner to Chair of Workers’ Comp Department

Dinsmore announced via a press release on Tuesday that Christopher Benintendi, a partner in the firm’s Cincinnati office, has been named the chair of the Workers’ Compensation Practice Group. He takes over the position for George Wilkinson, who served as the head of the group for 30 years. The group has 17 attorneys working in four cities. The group deals with over 100 hearings per week. Wilkinson will stay with the group as a partner.

“After building and managing the largest statewide workers’ compensation practice in Ohio, I am happy that Chris will be managing the group so I can devote full-time attention to my clients and the specialized self-insured and state fund risk issues that are of such critical importance to the firm’s clients,” said Wilkinson.  “I know Chris and the partners in the group will do a fine job in continuing to grow the practice in Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.”

Benintendi works with clients on intentional tort claims, workers’ compensation, and violations of specific safety requirements claims. Benintendi has a certification in workers’ compensation from the Ohio State Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Specialty Board. Benintendi also holds a spot on the Dinsmore Board of Directors.

“It is a great honor to lead such an accomplished group of attorneys and I’m confident that we can build upon our record of client satisfaction and growth,” Benintendi said. “In addition, I hope to continue the tradition of excellence that George established.  He will continue to be a vital part of our group moving forward.”
