Belgium TNT Promo Video Goes Viral

A Belgium TNT promo video has been one of the best media clips aired so far in 2012, on YouTube scoring tens of millions of views on the Internet. The video, named “A Dramatic Surprise on a Quiet Square” has 41,650,267 views on its original posting and close to 350,000 ‘likes.’ And if you’ve missed it by any chance, you can make up for that now. Just keep pushing the ‘replay’ button.

The video was made to promote the launch of the TNT channel in Belgium. Here is what happens in the video.

The script scrolls saying – Somewhere in a little town in Belgium … On a square where nothing really happens … We placed a button … And waited for someone to push it … (A sign near the button reads “Push to add drama.”)

People keep moving by without touching the button, and then somebody obliges.

Immediately an ambulance pulls up … caregivers jump out of the ambulance van, grab a man on a gurney …. They drop him … again pick him up and put him in the ambulance. As the ambulance starts to drive off, the man rolls out of the ambulance, while a cyclist hits an ambulance window.

Caregivers who jump out to pick up the man again are attacked by the cyclist. The ambulance driver gets rid off his shirt and starts beating the cyclist … and in between this bedlam a sexy woman in lingerie rides by quite unperturbed in a sports bike.

A white van and black SUVs arrive with agents in black suits spilling out of them. Gunfight ensues with the agents shooting at everyone including themselves. A kid stands by watching without any surprise throughout the incidents. Everyone, including the agents, the cyclist and the caregivers jump into the black SUVs and drive off. An agent is left behind writhing on the street and suddenly five football players emerge from a nearby building in full rigging and carry off the agent into the building.

The sexy woman drives by with her motor cycle and the curtain comes down with a banner reading:
