Molly’s Second Christmas

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great holiday. I can’t believe it’s over! I had a hard time pulling out the computer this morning, I wanted to keep it feeling like the holidays. Sadly, my dad just headed to work and my brother, sister-in-law and Molly are about to head back to Chicago!

Today I wanted to re-cap my Christmas celebrations, but I realized I really only too pictures of Molly… So we’re going to re-cap Molly’s second Christmas, since I did the same last year for her first!

Molly arrived before I did, so she came to pick me up from the airport on Sunday! She was exhausted though from a restless night, so she slept most of the way back home.

She loved being in our house because there were always people to pay attention to her! No matter how ridiculous she looked…

She also loved all the windows, and the yard! She’s a great watch-dog (emphasis on watch, not guard. She just likes to watch…) and this was her special spot to keep an eye out for squirrels.

Christmas Eve included some fun time with my friend’s dogs in our back yard, a nice family dinner at home, and then an 11pm Christmas Eve service with my friend and her parents. They’ve let me join in on their yearly tradition of driving around to see lights and then going to the service, I love it!

On Christmas Day, Molly wanted to be festive so she wore a handkerchief! She also wore a jingle bell, but it ended up being a bit scarier than anticipated…

Molly made a new friend Christmas morning, a wooden dog named Chief! She didn’t stay interested for long… Chief didn’t want to play.

She did, however, get some great Christmas gifts! One of which she managed to destroy in 5 minutes!

She also stood guard over the buffet table while we were getting dinner ready for our whole family. She thought she camouflaged well.

We hosted dinner my grandparents and one of my uncles’ family at our house for Christmas, including a gift exchange, lottery ticket scratching, and getting to look through some old photos my Grandmother brought over. It was a really great time!

And finally, Molly got me a great present! Okay, my amazing parents got me a great present…

A Vitamix!

I cannot wait to get started making things with it. Sadly it’s heading home today with Molly since I can’t take it on the plane… Guess I’ll have to wait 3 more weeks to use it!

I hope you all had a great Christmas as well, and if you don’t celebrate, then a nice day off!

How was your holiday?

Do you have any holiday traditions? What are they?
