A Change In Plans

Well, I am not in Kansas City right now.

My plan was to ride home with my brother, sister-in-law and Molly yesterday, however I woke up around 4am with a fever of 102.9. I waited an hour to see if it would change and it didn’t, so I called my brother and my parents and booked myself a flight home for today. As much as I wanted to go home yesterday (yes, there was sobbing involved), I didn’t want to ruin any one else’s Christmas by getting them sick. That’s just how life goes sometimes, right? I like to remind myself when things like this happen that if this is the worst thing going on right now, then I’ve got a pretty good life. Plus I watched Elf, White Christmas and Home Alone while riding out the fever, so I got a little Christmas in there.

Now let’s just hope I make it home today!

Now time to focus on the positive! One great thing that happened to me this week was getting a pair of Oakley Sunglasses from the Sunglasses Shop!

I was so excited when they contacted me to review their sunglasses. The pair I ended up getting was The Oakley Women’s Sweet Spot.

I’m a fan of larger sunglasses (small ones look weird with my large forehead…) so these were perfect. I also wanted a pair that I’d be able to wear walking around, but running as well. When I first tried them on I actually jumped around (looking like an idiot…) and they didn’t budge! I haven’t been able to wear them running yet since I haven’t been running outside, but I can’t wait to try them out.

Molly is a big fan too. She thought they were for her at first:

So I let her try them on.

Don’t they look great? I promised her we could share.

Another great thing? The shipping was SO FAST! Since they were coming from the UK I thought it might take a while, but I had them almost immediately!

If you want to check out all the sunglasses that they offer, here is their website. You can also like their facebook page, or follow them on twitter to learn about new styles and giveaways.

Before I head off to the airport, I wanted to take a quick survey! During boot camp I did my workout re-caps and my workouts for the next week every Sunday. Do you all want me to continue that? Yay or Nay?

What is your favorite style of sunglasses?

How do you handle disappointment?
