Veteran of U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Joins Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo

The law firm of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C . announced via a press release on Wednesday morning that Marty B. Lorenzo is joining the firm as a member. He will be working in the firm’s Corporate & Securities Section in San Diego. Lorenzo is a Major in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.

Some of Lorenzo’s clients operate in the telecommunications, media, government contracting, information technology, software, life sciences, semiconductors, hospitality, retail, health care services and clean technology.

“Like many members of our firm, Marty brings a long history of distinguished public and military service as well as an impressive legal track record,” Eddie Wang Rodriguez said. Rodriguez is the Managing Member of the firm’s San Diego office and is also a member of the firm’s Policy Committee. “His experience handling complex and sophisticated transactions across a range of industries – in the U.S. and abroad – is an ideal complement to our transactional expertise in San Diego and throughout the firm.”

Lorenzo also works as outside General Counsel for the Asian Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund. Lorenzo is a founder and co-chair of the Military and Veterans Committee of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association. Lorenzo has been with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve for over 24 years. He earned his bachelor of arts degree and his J.D. from the University of San Diego.

Jim Vassallo: Jim is a freelance writer based out of the suburbs of Philadelphia in New Jersey. Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and minor in Journalism from Rowan University in 2008. While in school he was the Assistant Sports Director at WGLS for two years and the Sports Director for one year. He also covered the football, baseball, softball and both basketball teams for the school newspaper 'The Whit.' Jim lives in New Jersey with his wife Nicole, son Tony and dog Phoebe.
