Grandpa Knocks China Over as Lady’s Fashion Model

Grandpa “MaDiGaGa” (funny old person) is taking China by storm as one of the hottest models in women’s fashion garments. And in just two weeks, this 72-year-old farmer from China’s central Hunan province has become one of the most recognized women’s fashion models in China with offers from companies and invitations from TV shows.

The farmer, whose real name is Liu Qianping, was on a visit to Guangzhou to meet his granddaughter Lu Ting, and also escape the bitter winter of Hunan.

The day he arrived, his granddaughter and four friends had booked for a photo shoot to promote their online fashion business, but the model canceled the date. Seeing the young ones disheartened and at a loss, Liu stepped in as model for the women’s clothes. The rest is history. In two weeks, visits to the online fashion site has increased four times, and Liu has become one of China’s most famous models.

Liu is happy with his new fame and recently went to Shanghai for the first time with his daughter to attend an invitation to appear on Television. Though some persons on the internet have criticized Lu Ting for using her grandfather, Liu insists that he is happy, and the new events have added zest to his life as well as bonding with his granddaughter and family.
