Donald Trump Issues Angry Tweets about Election

What a surprise, Donald Trump is not happy with the result of the 2012 election. Trump, a real estate mogul and reality television host, used Twitter to express his anger over the election results on Tuesday night. He attacked the Democratic process and the Electoral College. His tweets included the following:

“This election is a total sham and a travesty. We are not a democracy!”

“More votes equals a loss…revolution!”

When Trump submitted his tweets, the popular vote was in favor of Mitt Romney at the time with votes still being counted. Later in the night, Obama took the lead in the popular vote. Later that night, Trump described the Electoral College as a “disaster for a democracy.” Many Democrats probably would have agreed with Trump’s sentiments back in 2000 when Republican George W. Bush won the election even though he lost the popular vote.

Almost all of his angry tweets have been removed from his Twitter account as of Wednesday afternoon. Many believe that Trump was so angry about the election results because he wanted to be able to tweet “You’re Fired!” to Obama if he had been defeated by Romney. Trump has never been a fan of Obama, especially during his campaign for a second term. Trump has repeatedly asked for Obama to have his birth certificate and other personal information released to the public to prove that he was born in the United States.
