Three Attorneys Hired by Brown, PC

According to a press release, the law firm of Brown, PC has announced that it has added three associate attorneys to its nationwide tax controversy litigation practice.

“Our practice continues to grow significantly, particularly in response to greater governmental scrutiny and prosecutions in tax matters,” Lawrence Brown, the founder of the firm, said. “These three lawyers are joining our existing team of excellent attorneys and IRS enrolled agents to help clients effectively challenge the government’s claims in a wide range of tax audits, collections and enforcement actions.”

The three attorneys joining the firm are Cynthia A. Cook, Catherine Gonzaga and Naveid ‘Nick’ Jahansouz.

Cook graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law and acquired her Master of Law in taxation from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law. Cook earned her undergraduate degree from Wichita State University. Cook joins the firm with over 20 years of tax law experience.

Gonzaga joins the law firm after her time at a tax litigation firm in San Diego and is a native of Fort Worth. Gonzaga earned her law degree from the University of Washington School of Law and a master in taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law. Gonzaga acquired her undergrad degree from Hawaii Pacific University.

Jahansouz graduated from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law recently. He earned his undergrad degree from Texas Tech University.

Jim Vassallo: Jim is a freelance writer based out of the suburbs of Philadelphia in New Jersey. Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and minor in Journalism from Rowan University in 2008. While in school he was the Assistant Sports Director at WGLS for two years and the Sports Director for one year. He also covered the football, baseball, softball and both basketball teams for the school newspaper 'The Whit.' Jim lives in New Jersey with his wife Nicole, son Tony and dog Phoebe.
