Thursday Thoughts

Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! Today is a crazy busy today for me, but I’m looking forward to it! I also have serious marathon brain, that’s all I can think of right now – 10 days and a wake-up until the big day!

I’ve got to head out on my run, so let’s get on to today’s Thursday Thoughts!

1. Many of you suggested doing the Hulu Plus free trial and watching Downton Abbey on it. Well… I did. I stayed up until 1am Sunday night watching the entire second season! I JUST. COULD. NOT. STOP. I had to know what happened, it was SO GOOD!

2. Since I have Hulu Plus and a light workload this week, I’ve been taking full advantage of it. I am now obsessed with New Girl. Making my way through season one…

3. Today’s run is 3 miles. THREE MILES. I haven’t had a 3 mile run since August 9th! Needless today say I’m pretty excited about this.

4. Has anyone upgraded their iPhone? I did and now the maps app won’t give me directions for public transit… it used to tell me what bus to take to get where but now it just shows me a bunch of other apps I should download to do this function. WHYYYYY?????? This was the most useful part of the map app for me!?!? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY????????????

5. Yesterday on my run it was SUPER windy when I turned around on the lakefront to head back north, so I took my run into the city. Thank goodness I did or I would not have seen THIS:

WE’RE GETTING A YOGURTLAND!!!!! My life is complete.

6. I am so excited to see my family during marathon weekend and get to spend time with them, and I am also so excited because I’m going to get to hang out with Chelsey (who doesn’t love that?) AND meet Tina who is visiting that weekend!

7. A friend of mine sent me a package yesterday, she made me a fall wreath! She’s very crafty like that. At first I hung it on the outside of my door in the hallway, but then I realized 1) I couldn’t see it, and 2) the likelihood that someone stole it was about 52%… We have issues in my building. Isn’t it pretty?

8. I need to memorize some race mantras for the marathon. Every other race I’ve been in I’ll start thinking, I wish I could remember some race mantras!

9. I have no shame: I LOVE HARRY POTTER and tonight (after I get out of class at 7:50pm…) I am going to THIS EVENT!!!

It’s a party for J.K. Rowling’s new book, but it’s HP themed! There will be a costume contest! Haha I won’t be dressing up, especially since I’m coming straight from school, but I’m pretty pumped about it.

HAPPY THURSDAY!

Any good race mantras?

What’s your favorite show right now?
