Johnny Lewis Believed to Have Killed His Elderly Landlord before Falling to His Death

Johnny Lewis, who played Kip ‘Half-Sack’ Epps on “sons of Anarchy,” amidst other television and movie roles, and who once dated Kate Perry, has been implicated in the violent murder of his elderly landlord, which occurred a little before 11 a.m. Wednesday, before he fought off two men with a 2×4, and ultimately climbed on the roof only to fall to his own death.

“There was obviously something wrong with him. What that was exactly is not known to us at this time,” Los Angeles Police Officer Richard French told The News. Police suspect the erratic behavior could have been inspired by meth or PCP, but a toxicology report could take a few weeks to produce.

Lewis was just out of being in jail for six weeks, as of Sept 24, for assault with a deadly weapon; he had also served time earlier this year for first degree burglary. His motive for attacking his landlord, 81, is as yet unknown; when a neighbor and a handyman responded to her screams, he took them on as well, exhibiting what the men called “super-human strength,” with attacks that were “phenomenally strong,” as reported by TMZ.

“Johnny was the bright star of our lives,” said his dad to the Daily News, choking back emotions. “We always looked up to him, and now I guess we’ll have to look up a little higher.”

Lewis’s roles included roles on “Criminal Minds,” “Bones,” “CSI,” “The OC,” and “American Dream.”
