Katherine Jackson Loses Guardianship over Michael’s Three Children Over a Misunderstanding

Things are not well in the Jackson estate. Michael’s siblings are fighting over the legitimacy of his will, and now there is some peculiar tension regarding Michael’s three minor children and their grandma. Katherine Jackson is their legal guardian, but this has been temporarily suspended, and appointed to her grandson, TJ. She’s been missing for three days and TJ convinced the court that her children, Randy, Janet, Jermaine and Robbie, may be holding her against her will.

What unnerved TJ was a telephone call he received from Katherine, who was in Arizona. “I’ve never heard my grandmother talk like that. She wasn’t sharp. The pauses, choice of vocabulary … she has not used certain phrases like that before.” He speculated that she was talking in code.

Nevertheless, Katherine is back and says that court ruling was “based on a bunch of lies.”

“I am devestated that while I’ve been away, that my children, my grandchildren, have been taken away from me, and I’m coming home to see about that.”

She also denied the allegation that she was being held under duress. “I am here today to let everybody know that I am fine and I am here with my children, and my children would never do a thing to me like that, holding me against my will. It’s very stupid for people to think that.”

Judge Mitch Beckloff, meanwhile, had said he saw no evidence Katherine Jackson had done wrong, but said that it appeared she was prevented from her guardian duties through “intentional acts of third parties.” There was no elaboration on this.

But since then, Perry Sanders Jr., Katherine’s attorney talked to her on her way home, and reported that “She sounded absolutely fine, lucid and her normal self.”

He is due to meet with her in person on Thursday. They intend to secure her guardianship against further tampering,
