Halle Berry Bashes Her Head

Halle Berry, the Academy Award Winning Actress for the 2001 film “Monster’s Ball,” took a fall and hit her head while filming a fight sequence for her upcoming thriller “The Hive,” in Los Angeles. She crashed into the cement and then began vomiting, suggesting a concussion. An ambulance transported her to Cedar Sinai Medical Center at about 10 p.m., but she was subsequently released.

“She checked out healthy and was released,” said her publicist, Meredith O’Sullivan. “She’ll continue production as planned.”

Berry, 45, has had similar bad luck on the set before. In 2004, she crashed her head on some lights while recording her film “Catwoman,” and in 2011 she broke her foot on a day off from shooting her film “Cloud Atlas,” in Spain, which forced the director to shoot the actress from the waist up.

Halle Barry has not only won the Academy Award for Best Actress for the movie “Monster’s Ball,” but also won the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actress in 2005 for “Catwoman,” which she accepted in person — one of the few who would do so.

“The Hive,” meanwhile, is a thriller directed by Brad Anderson about a 911 operator who must face her fears and confront a killer from her past to save a teenage girl from danger.
