School District Employee Bullied on Bus

A video was recently uploaded to YouTube showing Karen Huff Klein, a bus monitor for the Greece School District in Greece, New York, being harassed and bullied by students she was monitoring on a ride home from school one day. Klein has received an overflowing amount of support from the public since the video went viral. As a disclaimer, the video features explicit language and might be upsetting to some. After the video went viral, a user from Reddit, razorsheldon, asked for the public to support Klein, who cried from the torture the children gave her.

From Reddit:

Now, as awful as this was, there was a silver lining in not only the universal condemnation of the actions of these kids, but also in a call for support for this poor woman. Her name is Karen Klein, and if you are so compelled, please feel free to reach out to offer support. She has been a widow for 17 years, has lived in the same town she grew up in and is about to have her 50th high school reunion in the same school district, and deserves so much better than the actions shown by those in this video. Let’s show her that there are still good people out there…

The video is absolutely disturbing and in it you can hear children calling Klein an ‘ugly fat ass’ and telling Klein, a widow, “you don’t have a family because they all killed themselves because they don’t want to be near you.” The Greece Police Department and the Greece School District have begun an investigation into the bullying and have said that the students involved will ‘face disciplinary action.’
