Ronan Farrow Disses Woody Allen on Father’s Day

Father’s Day was not all love and roses for the Allen-Farrow clan as Woody Allen’s estranged son Ronan Farrow reminded the world via Twitter how messed up his family really is. Ronan, 24, works as a freelance journalist and is a human-rights activist. Ronan’s father, Woody, married his adoptive sister, making the family very interesting. Ronan tweeted the following on Father’s Day:

@RonanFarrow

Happy father’s day — or as they call it in my family, happy brother-in-law’s day.

Ronan’s mom, Mia Farrow, responded to her son’s tweet with a very short and effective comment:

@MiaFarrow

Boom RT @RonanFarrow: Happy father’s day — or as they call it in my family, happy brother-in-law’s day.

In 1992, Allen left Ronan’s mother Mia Farrow. The two were partners for a very long time and Allen left Farrow for their adopted daughter, Soon-Yi Previn, with the relationship beginning in 1991 when he was 56 and she was 21. Woody began dating Mia back in 1980 and they adopted two children together. Ronan, the couple’s only biological child, was born in 1987. Mia and her ex-husband, Andre Previn, adopted Soon-Yi at the age of eight from Korea back in 1978. Allen never legally adopted Soon-Yi but became a central figure in her life when she was just 10-years-old. Allen was considered a father figure to Soon-Yi.

In 1996, Allen and Soon-Yi decided to adopt a baby girl, named Bechet. In 1997, the couple adopted another girl, named Manzie Tio. Soon-Yi became Allen’s third wife later in 1997 when the two were married in Venice, Italy.
