Katy Perry Comic Book Due in July

Katy Perry is scheduled to make her fans happy and join the brigade of luminaries like Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, who have comic books starring their persons. In the upcoming comic book named “Fame: Katy Perry” the star traces her life from Christian singer to pop superstar. The book is to be published by Bluewater.

“Fame: Katy Perry” was penned by Daily News columnist Howard Gensler and illustrated by Eduardo Bazen. Bazen told the media, “This is a colorful and fun bio that every Katy Perry fan has to add to his or her collection … I hope every Katy fan enjoys this book as much as we enjoyed working on it!”

The comic book is scheduled to be released at the same time period as the release of the singer’s movie “Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D.” The comic book/graphic novel would be priced at $7.99 and would also be distributed as digital books through platforms like Nook, iPad, and Kindle.

Bluewater, the publishers issued a statement saying, “Katy Perry is a natural choice of star in the “Fame” series. “Fame” comic books, consistently ranked at the top of Amazon’s best-selling charts, explore the lives of the rich and the famous. They delve into how actors, sports figures, and musicians rise to fame, handle newfound celebrity status, and keep a hold on the public eye.”

Perry is known for fantasy-oriented depictions of herself in music videos and is a natural for comic book audience. Katy’s marriage to Russell Brand ended late last year and this year she’s moving to take the market by storm.
