Too Many Things To Say

Happy Sunday everyone!

I hope you’re all having a great weekend! I’m trying to relax a little, as well as get a big To Do list done! I tend to ignore a lot of things during the week and by Friday my apartment is shamefully messy. I spent hours today just picking things up! It was insanity… Anyway, with all these things going through my head I thought I’d share a few of the more interesting things here on the blog today! Enjoy!

1. I had my first training run with CARA yesterday! CARA stands for the Chicago Area Runners Association! I’m training with them for the marathon over the summer, they have great programs and I was able to join the program for free because I’m fundraising (more on that later…). The location is about 3 miles away from me, so in the future I think I’ll run there for the Saturday morning group long run, join the group for the run, and then drop off when we pass where I live, that way I don’t have to worry about getting to and from the location.

Today’s run was 6 miles, but I ended up doing 8 because I ran over a mile from the bus to get to where they were starting, and then since I’d hit 7.25 and I’m obsessed with running full miles, I finished off the 8 heading to whole foods to pick up some things, along with a very odd breakfast:

2. I found this playlist on Spotify and I LOVE IT. It’s officially my new life playlist. It’s all those hilarious sports songs used to pump you up for a game. Amazingness.

3. I’ve become obsessed with listen to Jillian Michaels Podcasts when I run/workout/walk. No idea why, but she does have some great tips and it’s just generally amusing. Plus there are tons that I haven’t listened to yet. I always loved her on Biggest Loser!

4. Since you all loved the Molly pictures on her birthday, I thought I’d share this with you. My brother sent me these pictures of Molly (on the left) trying to steal another dog’s stick:

She’s not very good at sharing…

5. Just in case you’re curious, CARA uses Hal Higdon’s plans for the Chicago marathon. They offer Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Seeing as this is my first marathon, I opted for beginner! I freaked out at first thinking there was just not enough mileage to be ready, but my cousin, Allie, reassured me that it would be fine!

6. I also looked on spotify for playlists with beats of 170-190 bpm, which are the best to run to. Here are some amusing songs I would never have guessed would be good running songs:

Oops I Did It Again by Britney Spears

Yellow by Coldplay

Beat It by Michael Jackson

Where Is The Love? by The Black Eyed Peas

7. Another amusing list? Searches that lead people to my blog. Here are some more good ones:

Family Guy Cereal

Oats emotional <—Maybe I get emotional about my oats? haha

Women as objects quotes

big city love

amy lee fake

fanny packs at disney world <—I do love a good fanny pack…

mr. nature love

best friends separated by a wall

delivery cargo <—okay, most I see how they could lead to my blog, but this one?!??

green and blacks 85 <—again… really?!?

how men see women

Are you good at sharing? Maybe you could give Molly some tips…

Do you have any good running songs around 180 bpm?
