Video from PBS of Mister Rogers Goes Viral

A video of Mister Rogers has been posted on YouTube and it is quickly going viral as we speak. The video is a remix of scenes from the show Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood to the song called ‘Garden of Your Mind.’ The remix was put together by John Boswel from Symphony of Science. The video was put together in an effort by PBS Digital Studios to get some of its older icons into the new age. Fred Rogers’ show ran from 1968 to 2001 and was the most recognizable show of the television station.

“When we discovered video mash-up artist John D. Boswell, aka melodysheep, onYouTube, we immediately wanted to work together,” says the description on the video. “Turns out that he is a huge ‘Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood’ fan, and was thrilled at the chance to pay tribute to one of our heroes. Both PBS and the Fred Rogers Company hope you like John’s celebration of Fred Rogers’ message.”

From the video, Rogers ask, “Did you ever grow anything in the garden of your mind? You can grow ideas in the garden of your mind. It’s good to be curious, about many things. You can think about things and make believe and all you have to do is think – and they grow.”
