Butler Snow O’Mara Stevens & Cannada PLLC Adds Attorneys to Nashville Office

The law firm of Butler, Snow, O’Mara, Stevens & Cannada, PLLC, has announced that it has expanded its office in Nashville with the addition of 37 attorneys that brings the office total to right outside of 100. With the addition of the lawyers, the law firm becomes one of the largest in the state and in the country. The firm boasts over 220 attorneys in 12 offices across the country, according to a press release.

“These attorneys certainly had the choice to collectively or individually join many different firms. The fact that they chose Butler Snow is both an honor and also confirmation that our firm’s vision, strategic plan for growth and culture of teamwork is shared by this great group of attorneys,” said Donald Clark, Jr., Chairman of Butler Snow.

The firm was founded in 1954 and it focuses on business and litigation services across a wide range of legal practices. The firm has a government relations practice that features former governor of Mississippi, Haley Barbour. The practice will be joined by former Tennessee Congressman John Tanner.

“We are very excited to join Butler Snow and believe this is a great opportunity for our team, for Butler Snow and most importantly, for our clients. The firm’s culture, commitment to teamwork and focus on client service are all significant principles that we share,” said Dan H. Elrod, an attorney joining the Nashville office of Butler Snow. Elrod was elected to the Executive Committee of the firm. The committee is responsible for the governance of the firm, strategic direction and policy.

“Our entire team is looking forward to new and exciting opportunities as Butler Snow continues its strategic vision of growth,” said Melvin J. Malone, who is a member of the Nashville office.

In the Real Estate and Business Transactions practice, Robert M. Holland, Jr., said, “Butler Snow’s practice areas and those of our team’s complement one another and we are pleased to join a firm that offers such broad geographic reach. This will be of significant benefit to our clients.”
