Man Kills and Then Eats Roommate’s Brain and Heart

The news of another human flesh-eating incident has hit the public eye, this time coming from Maryland, where a student claims he ate the brain and heart of his roommate. Alexander Kinyua, a student at Morgan State University, said that he murdered roommate Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie. Agyei-Kodie was reported missing just last Friday.

On Tuesday, the brother of Kinyua found a metal tin containing human remains in it in the family basement. This led Kinyua’s father to inform police of the discovery, which included two hands and a head. The father and the brother left the room and when they returned the body parts were gone and they found Kinyua rinsing out the tin with water.

Kinyua was arrested after officers searched the home. Kinyua decided to confess to the crime of murder but then went further and confessed to eating the victim’s heart and brain after cutting him with a knife. Kinyua told police he disposed of the rest of the remains behind a church in a dumpster in Joppatowne.

Kinyua has been charged with first-degree murder but no motive has been determined yet. On May 20, Kinyua was charged with first-degree assault for hitting another student with a baseball bat at random and then fleeing into the woods.
