Man Throws Intestines at Police Officers

A man from New Jersey reportedly removed his entrails from his body in the view of police officers and then tossed pieces of his intestines and flesh at them as they stood there in disbelief. The incident took place at a residence in Hackensack, New Jersey, as 43-year-old Wayne Carter barricaded himself in the home Sunday. Police received a 911 call Sunday morning when a person said Carter was threatening to hurt himself with a knife. Two police officers responded to the incident, kicking in the door to find Carter in a corner.

The officers’ orders to drop the knife were repeatedly ignored by Carter, who decided to stab himself in the neck, legs and abdomen. It was reported that the officers tried to pepper spray Carter, which had no bearing on him whatsoever. After he was pepper sprayed, Carter threw pieces of his intestines and skin at the officers even though he was disemboweled.

The officers retreated from the building and called the Bergen County SWAT Team for assistant, according to Lt. John Heinemann of the Hackensack Police Department. The SWAT team subdued Carter and transported him to a hospital, where he was still in critical condition as of Monday. There have not been any charges filed in the incident yet.
