Jessica Simpson Could Make Millions on Birth of Daughter

Experts believe that Jessica Simpson’s baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson, can rake in close to $14 million if Jessica does things right. The branded empire of Simpson grosses roughly $750 million-$1 billion per year and if she wants she can start selling mom-related products with her name on them. This includes maternity clothing, diaper bags and baby blankets. It has been estimated that Simpson’s take from her company is close to 14 percent of wholesale sales and accounts for $10-$20 million per year. If she were to add baby products to her product line she probably could add another $5 million per year to her income.

“Once people have babies it puts them in a totally different category. It starts when they get engaged and then they become a mommy and then they have the family. Now we will see the Jessica Simpson collection can go into kids things and baby things,” explains Lori Levine, the founder of Flying Television. “Being a mom is her new platform.”

Simpson could also make money by endorsing mommy and baby products of other companies if she does not want to put her name on her own line of products. She could endorse stretch mark creams, strollers and baby seats. Simpson could even take to Twitter to run her sponsorship for products. On Twitter, she could be paid $5,000 per tweet about baby and mommy products. Simpson could bring in a seven figure salary simply by tweeting about child products.

Simpson’s fans are really going to want to see an intimate view of Simpson, her fiancé, and the baby now that the baby has been born. So, reality television is where the money is for the music star. If she were to sign a reality television deal, Simpson could make close to $5 million per year. She could bring in even more money should she take advantage of product placement during the show like the Kardashians have and Bethenny Frankel have.

If Simpson is not interested in a reality television show or product endorsements, she could make money from her post-pregnancy weight loss. Celebrities can make close to $33,000 per pound lost on a diet endorsement deal. It has been rumored that Simpson has already begun negotiations with Weight Watchers. With all of the weight Simpson gained during her pregnancy she could wind up making close to $3 million. If you add up all of these ideas, it comes out to around $14 million for Simpson.
