Victoria’s Secret Cars? Vicky’s Special ‘Evoque’ for Range Rover

British celebrity fashion designer Victoria Beckham, the former Spice Girl said while promoting Range Rover’s “Evoque” in Beijing, “I’ve stayed very true to myself. I’ve designed a car that I want to drive, a car that I think David wants to drive.” Victoria admitted that this was the first time she was on a project of car-designing and had learned “an enormous amount.”

The special edition “Evoque” has exclusive, hand-finished matt paint, rose gold accents on the grill and gloss black forged allow wheels. The coupe inside has vintage-inspired leather seats, rose gold-plated accents and trimming of black lacquer, textured aluminum and mohair.

The vehicle has luxury accessories like a four-piece leather luggage set and hand-sewn leather wallet signed by Victoria Beckham.

The special edition of “Evoque” costs $129,000 and only 200 will be made.

Talking on the designing, Victoria said, “I did a lot of research and not just with cars, old and new, but boats, planes, movie stars, different locations …It would be hard to pinpoint exactly where the inspiration came from. It’s just what I like, that’s the bottom line. I don’t try to be too technical about it … It’s what feels real to me.”

According to Victoria, the bottom line is “would I drive this car, like when I’m designing a dress, would I wear this dress? I love what I do. I consider myself so blessed to do a job that I love and this has been a great experience for me.”

Victoria, however, says she “doesn’t want to run, before she can walk” with her collection. According to her, each season there are more retail partners on her list but for her it is important to keep things small. At the end of the day, the customer should feel special when buying from her collection.

As the Spice Girl – turned fashion designer- turned car designer says. “I don’t want it to get too big too quickly.”
