Miracle Dog with Two Legs Learns to Walk

The miracle dog in these pictures was born on Christmas Eve of 2002 and was born with only two legs, hind legs. The dog could not walk when he was born and his mother wanted nothing to do with him. The dog’s first owner did not want him either and thought about putting the dog to sleep. The dog’s current owner, Jude Stringfellow, took the dog in and began to train him.

Stringfellow named the dog Faith and began to train him how to walk. Faith was put on a surfboard at the start of the training session so he could feel the movement underneath him. Then, Springfellow put peanut butter on a spoon as a way to lure Faith to stand and to jump back and forth. Springfellow’s other dog even tried to get Faith to walk, which happened only six months after Springfellow began training him. Faith first began to move one his hind legs and jump around. He then, with more training in the snow, he now walks like a human. Faith has become an inspiration to people around the world, appearing on various television shows and in newspapers. A book, called ‘With a Little Faith, is being published about the dog. Springfellow has quit her job as a teacher in order to bring Faith around the world in order to teach the lesson that people can have a perfect soul without a perfect body.
