Lawsuit Filed Against Paul Deen and Brother

The Food Network star, Paula Deen, has dropped a couple of pant sizes and has changed her lifestyle to become a more health conscious person. Deen’s public relations team is now facing charges against her and her brother. The charges against her and her brother, Bubba Hiers, include infliction of emotional distress, assault and sexual harassment. Lisa Jackson, a former general manager at Uncle Bubba’s Seafood and Oyster House, alleges that Deen and Hiers bothered her for the five years she worked for them at the restaurant. The restaurant is owned by Deen and Hiers. Jackson claims the two made racist, sexist and offensive comments towards her between 2005 and 2010.

The most shocking claims from Jackson allege that Hiers would watch pornography videos while at work, he would spit at and kiss Jackson’s face and he repeatedly asked her to bring him photos of when she was younger so he could look at them. Jackson also said that Hiers would make comments about other women’s weight and his own personal sex life. Hiers told one female employee who recently got dentures that “I bet your husband is going to like that.”

Deen answered Jackson’s question about dress attire for a catered event back in 2007 by saying the following:

“Well what I would really like is a bunch of little n***ers to wear long-sleeve white shirts, black shorts and black bow ties, you know in the Shirley Temple days, they used to tap dance around… Now, that would be a true Southern wedding wouldn’t it? But we can’t do that because the media would be on me about that.”

The public relations representatives for Deen have yet to comment on these charges from Jackson. This is the second major scandal to come out about Deen in recent months. The first divulged that Deen suffers from diabetes after touting all of that Southern cooking for so long.
