Not Enough Prayer in Midwest According to Pat Robertson

Pat Robertson is up to his old tricks once again, this time making comments about the recent tornadoes to strike states in the Midwest. He theory as to why the tornadoes hit with such devastating force is that people did not pray enough. Robertson made his tornado claim during a recent episode of the television show ‘The 700 Club.’

“If enough people were praying [God] would’ve intervened, you could pray, Jesus stilled the storm, you can still storms,” Robertson said.

Robertson then decided to blame the people in the paths of the tornadoes for living in areas prone to such powerful storms.

“Why did you build houses where tornadoes were apt to happen?” he asked.

On the other side of things, Robertson has a different theory as to why the earthquake in Haiti occurred in 2010. Robertson claims that the earthquake devastated Haiti because Haitians decided to make a deal with the devil.

“Something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it,” Robertson said on ‘The 700 Club.’ “They were under the heel of the French. You know, Napoleon III, or whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, we will serve you if you’ll get us free from the French. True story. And so, the devil said, okay it’s a deal.”
