Sister of Nick and Aaron Carter, Leslie, Dies

The sister to Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter and singer Aaron Carter, Leslie Carter, passed away on Tuesday in upstate New York.

A spokesperson for the Carter family released the following statement regarding the death of Leslie Carter:

“Our family is grieving right now and it’s a private matter. We are deeply saddened for the loss of our beloved sister, daughter, and granddaughter, Leslie Carter. We request the utmost privacy during this difficult time.”

Leslie was an aspiring singer and her single “Like wow!” was included on the ‘Shrek’ movie soundtrack that was released in 2011. Leslie was following in the footsteps of her brothers Aaron and Nick. Leslie is the younger sister of Nick. She appeared on the 2006 reality television show about the family called “House of Carters.”

The cause of death for Leslie is unknown at this time. She leaves behind four siblings, a husband, Mike, and Alyssa Jane, her daughter who is almost one.

A representative for Nick Carter released the following statement regarding his sister’s death:

“Nick Carter is thankful to the many people and the fans who have shared their wishes and prayers during this tragic time. We want to let the fans know the tour will go on as promised.”

Nick also said, “Performing is cathartic to me and I am dedicating the rest of my tour to my sister since she loved to watch me perform.”
