Heather Locklear Entered Rehab Before Being Hospitalized

Actress Heather Locklear had checked into rehab before she was hospitalized. Locklear was rushed to the Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, California on Jan. 12.  Locklear’s sister called 911 from the star’s home after she thought that the TV star had overdosed on prescription pills and alcohol. The cause for hospitalization was given as serious stomach pains.

Sources close to the actress have said that after her split up with actor Jack Wagner, her co-star from Melrose Place, she had a hard time coping. The sources claim that Heather has had a drinking problem for many years and even after the breakup, Wagner “begged her” to go to rehab. Heather entered a rehab program after the breakup – news which she and her family were able to keep away from the media till now.

Following her stint at the hospital, she is said to be “weighing her options” on whether or not she should go back to rehab. Reports say that Locklear has been battling a drinking problem for many years and there were days when she could not even get out of bed. The 50-year old actress has starred in the hit series T.J. Hooker in the 80s and in Melrose Place and Spin City in the late 90s among several other shows and movies over her 30 year career
