Nick Cannon Hospitalized with Kidney Problems

Nick Cannon, singer-actor and host of ‘America’s Got Talent,’ sent out a tweet yesterday that he was transferred to a Los Angeles hospital from one in Aspen, Colorado. Cannon is also the husband of Mariah Carey. Cannon has been hospitalized for an undisclosed kidney problem.

“Thank you for all your love, prayers and concern,” Cannon wrote. “You know me. I will be a’ight.”

It was reported that Cannon, Carey, and the couple’s eight-month-old twins were transported by private jet to the Los Angeles hospital. An unidentified witness said that Cannon looked frail and weak.

Yesterday, Carey posted a photo on Twitter of her lying next to Cannon in an Aspen hospital bed. The tweet from Carey said, “Please pray for Nick as he’s fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure.” The couple was in Aspen for a family Christmas trip.

“We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances,” Carey wrote on her website, “but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful.”

Carey also said that this trip to the hospital is a bit of a role reversal. “Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are.”
