Peter Brant Wants Sole Custody of Kids

The estranged husband of model Stephanie Seymour is so angry that Seymour reportedly submitted invalid urine samples for drug and alcohol tests, according to the New York Post. He is so upset and angry that he just wants the judge in the case to award him sole custody of the couple’s kids.

This has become a very ugly divorce battle with the former model. Peter Brant, according to court papers filed in the divorce proceedings, claims that Seymour and a moving crew broke into the couple’s Florida Mansion. He claims that Seymour and the moving crew took over $700,000 worth of items from the home on a day in which she was supposed to be with the children. The children, according to the document, “remained behind in a hotel room in Connecticut.”

Brant is a publishing mogul, who has been married to Seymour for 16 years. Brant is 62 and Seymour is 40. The divorce proceedings were filed in court back on October 7 and claim that Seymour entered treatment for an addiction to Vicodin back in 2000. She was then prescribed the drug Subutex, which is used to treat opiate addictions.

Even though Seymour agreed to drug and alcohol tests back in June, she has missed multiple breathalyzer tests back in September and was irresponsible when needing to return phone calls to a court-appointed drug and alcohol tester.

On September 17, a judge expanded the testing for Seymour. Ten days later, one of the urine samples she submitted did not test positive for Subutex. Seymour takes 24 mg of the drug on a daily basis, so the test was a bit suspicious.

Another urine samples was submitted by Seymour on October 3, which failed to register the minimum valid temperature and tested negative for Subutex again. The very next day, Seymour had to give another urine test, which also did not register the valid temperature.

In the court filings, Brant has asked the court for sole custody of the couple’s three kids, to reduce the time Seymour can spend with the kids, and to order that Seymour attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings while also ordering her not to drink alcohol.

Lawyers representing each party in the divorce did not return phone calls to the New York Post seeking comment.

To make matters worse for Brant, there was a minor fire at his White Birch Farms Estate the other day. A bucket with rags and cleaning solution was found in one of the house’s third floor bathrooms but was extinguished by employees before the fire department even arrived on scene in Greenwich. Firefighters were on the scene for less than 15 minutes despite there being reports of smoke through the house while en route to the scene.
