Study Snacks!!!

Happy Friday everyone!

So I’ve basically been living in my apartment for the past few days, only leaving for the gym or specific errands. Since I’m here all day, I have a tendency to eat snacks all day, rather than real meals… Healthy? Probably not. Conducive to studying? Yes.

Here are a few delicious things I’ve been snacking on!

I keep forgetting to take a picture of this but I mix Sunwarrior vanilla protein powder with a little bit of milk, some cinnamon, stevia and canned pumpkin. It is SO GOOD. Probably why I don’t have a photo of it…

I got these roasted seaweed snacks at Trader Joe’s this weekend. I’d tried the normal kind, but when I saw Wasabi flavored ones, I had to snag them! And Whew! They were spicy! But so good and perfectly salty!

One of my new concoctions is Chocolate Coffee. I make a normal cup of coffee, but I heat up the milk that I’m putting it and add cocoa powder and stevia to it. It’s like coffee and hot chocolate had a baby. A delicious one. Oh, and see the mini candy cane? I’m living off of those.

Easy and seasonal Greek yogurt flavor? Cinnamon sugar. Simply add stevia and cinnamon and voila! Served with some Udi’s toast topped with peanut flour mixed with water and stevia. Geez. I use a lot of stevia…

For “lunch” I made a giant salad. I felt the need for veggies, so I chopped up a head of romaine and added mushrooms, squash and turkey and topped it with a raspberry balsamic vinegar.

Other snacks included more dessert plates and chopped veggies with hummus.

For my workout today, I wanted to make it quick. I’m losing time quickly and kinda freaking out about it. So I headed to the gym to pound out 6 miles (51:44) and brought my Environmental Law and Policy notes with me to read. I managed to get through all the notes by the time my six miles were over!

However, while I was running, something really weird happened.

During my run I would randomly feel like the treadmill slowed down a bit, but the number was covered up so I didn’t really know. I thought it was just in my head. It wasn’t.

At one point it felt really obvious that it slowed down, so I lifted by papers and noticed that my treadmill kept switching speeds on its own! It totally weirded me out, so I hopped off and finished my last two miles on another treadmill.

Aaaaand, back to work!

Anyone have big plans for the weekend?

Have you ever been on a workout machine that went on the fritz before?
