I am a Superhero.

When I got home from class Wednesday night, I checked the lobby to see if I had any packages… And boy did I have some packages. I actually started laughing because it was insane how many I had. And of course I planned to get them all up to my apartment in one trip.

Since I got home so late, I know several people in the building read that the packages were for me (we leave them in the lobby and you just take the ones that are yours – honor system). The embarrassing part is that my soap.com package came in a diapers.com box…

The box was also HUGE. These pictures do it no justice. I could have easily fit inside. This is what happens when you get paper towels and toilet paper in the same order…

By the way, if you’ve never tried Soap.com, you should! I discovered it last year and I am in love! They have basically every product you could ever need (they just added grocery!) and they are all at competitive prices with places like Walmart and Target.

Since I don’t have access to larger discount stores, buying personal products in the city is really expensive. Plus, this way I don’t have to carry it on the bus or walking home! Win, win.

Oh and did I mention the free two-day shipping on orders over $39? Um, yea.

Anyway, now that you are informed that I am well stocked on paper towels and toilet paper (and some Bob’s Red Mill GF flour!), we can see what was in my other packages!

First, there were two belated birthday gifts!

My friend from college, Amy Lee, send me an adorable scrapbook with photos of the two of us!  The captions were also one big poem, it was too sweet! Definitely made me miss her! Thanks twin!

Next up, my friend Caroline sent me two books: one all about living gluten free and another was a gluten free cookbook! She is also gluten intolerant and has been for a couple years now. She thought these books would be helpful while I try and figure things out. I can’t believe it’s only been two and a half weeks since I found out about my food intolerances! It feels like forever. Thanks, Caroline!

And last but definitely not least, was one of my best purchases of the year: CW-X running tights!!! My cousin, Allie, recommended them to me and I found them for almost half off on Amazon! I am OBSESSED with amazon, you can buy anything! I also have a GU sample pack and Sunwarrior protein on the way from them, and all free shipping!

CW-X makes all kinds of products for sports, and uses a patented CW-X Support Web that helps to compress or support certain areas of your legs. Just looking at the tights, they had a ton of different varieties for anyone’s specific needs.

I ended up choosing the Women’s Insulator Performx Tights. The insultaor tights have temperature regulation fabric, which I knew would be good for running outside in Chicago once the temperatures drop (this is also the type Allie recommended).

The PerformX line give support to the IT band, hip flexors and quads as well as stabilization of the knees, calves and achilles. My IT bands have always been my biggest problem area, so I knew this would be the best choice for me.

I’m also very glad that Allie warned me they would be very hard to get on. Otherwise I would have been really concerned. I definitely fell over trying to get them on. However, once I did, I literally felt like a superhero. For serious. It was as if I was wearing half of a super hero costume. I had special powers. I swear.

Picture above is me… being a super hero. You have to use your imagination. I was having so much fun wearing them that I ended up wearing them to do my yoga video in the morning! It was necessary. My apartment is chilly…

For dinner, I just had to use my nutritional yeast/hummus sauce combo again. Like I said, I’m obsessed! Tonight I wasn’t very hungry since I had my snack pretty late, so I re-heated a sweet potato that I’d baked this weekend and on the side I had some brussel sprouts that I heated up, mixed with hummus and nutritional yeast, and then stuck back in the microwave for about 20 seconds.

It was to die for! You really need to try this combo if you haven’t!

Do you have any clothes that make you feel like someone else?

Do you use Amazon or Soap.com, or another site, to order things?
