Prominent European Competition Attorney Joins Cadwalader; Will Manage Firm’s New Office in Brussels

Alec J. Burnside, a prominent European competition attorney, will join as a partner at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP.

Burnside will open and manage Cadwalader’s new office in Brussels.

He is a highly sought after expert in merger clearances, cartel defence, state aid and abuse of dominance with deep sector expertise that spans a wide variety of industries, including financial services, IT, consumer products, energy, and natural resources.
